Is it as much of a problem as this article is saying?? I know a few MATES who said they could not believe the amount of snow that was being shovelled at the semi final (probably why it was such a shit atmosphere??)... just a one off or rife??

The only reason you ever post anything on WHO is to tell some strangers on the internet that you have lots of mates.

It's concerning.

It's not just football either.

Racecourses particuarly Ascot stationing security with sniffer dogs outside the gents and catching plenty.
I was at Newbury when it reopened last year and someone remarked it was easier to get a gram than it was to get a bet on.
Throw in loads of booze, football rivalry & people doing there dough & you've got a recipe for fisticuffs.

I played video games in the early 90s and stopped. I tied coke too and stopped. It helps you stay awake when you are fucked so you might as well go to bed.

Just my euro

Sold,

If you’re really the social butterfly that you claim to be, going to the pub every other day, BBQs every weekend etc, surely you’d have seen for yourself how prevalent gear is nowadays?

Re: Charlie
Surely gear stops as much trouble as it starts.. Stops them getting really pissed

Fuck knows what it was like growing up by the seaside, but gear has been rife since I started drinking in pubs.

If you went up to any group of 10 people on a night out, you'd be hard pressed to find less than 5 who don't have a pinch.

Re: Charlie
Crossed Hammers... yeah a few of our lot dabbled ... known a few others over the years ... main mob I remember all being a local semi pro mob in the 90's who were all on the sniff but no ... in the main I have just been with beer heads... that's socially and at football... never been a discussion point on a night out ever. I'm 55 ... so probably a glue bag of evo would have been more prelevant for our lot. Even the younger mob I associate myself with now at local football (35->) does not ever seem to be a conversation... but like I said... I know people going to footy know that have told me that it's rife in premises and especially was on the semi night at our place... actually thinking about it that was probably the problem at the Palace play off final as everyone seemed like they was in a fucking coma on the day.

Seen some videos of South American football matches. They just do it out in the open. It seems to add to the atmosphere.

Re: Charlie
Couldn’t give a shit about it, it is rife but as been mentioned it sobers a lot of people up and they take it to keep drinking, more booze few more pinches.

I find the pissed up swaying soaks who constantly repeat themselves much more annoying.

I know very few people who don’t dabble. Especially as they have got older, stops them going home as early. It’s usually half a ticket or a ticket when out boozing and not all the time, usually on day long benders.

Which is no surprise it’s rife at football, especially when away day meets are often 7-8am.

Each to their own.

In those days Sold was like Flip from This Is England 90 - desperately trying to keep up while dressed like Bros.

Scary shit.

I’d go as far as to say at least 1 of the 10 was probably dealing it

Sitting her now typing this and thinking of who I know deals it. 5 off the top of me head
